Opus’ Escrow Division: Commerce Escrow
All 1031 Exchange funds are held in a qualified escrow account by Commerce Escrow, a division of Opus Bank with over 35 years of experience in commercial and industrial escrow transactions. Each exchange account is segregated into its own escrow account to ensure funds are never commingled with anyone else’s. Opus Bank is also a member of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC), so you can rest assured that your deposits are insured for the standard FDIC deposit insurance coverage limit of $250,000 per depositor, per ownership category.
Non-Real Property Holding Escrows
Did you know commerce Escrow also provides Non-Real Property Holding Escrows? A Holding Escrow doesn't involve the transfer of real estate. It's a two way agreement to hold funds or documents pending mutual instructions from the parties to the escrow.
