Kevin Hopkins currently serves as a Vice President within the Merchant Banking Division of Opus Bank. Mr. Hopkins has over 10 years of experience in financial services including roles in investment banking, private equity and institutional investing. Mr. Hopkins’ investment banking and private equity experience has been concentrated in the technology industry, where he has led investments or advised on transactions for companies in the Internet, semiconductor, enterprise software and electronics manufacturing sectors.
Prior to joining Opus Bank, Mr. Hopkins was a Vice President at Dragon Global Management, a technology and digital media focused private equity firm where he managed all processes for potential and active investments. Mr. Hopkins previously worked with Moelis & Company where he provided mergers & acquisitions advisory and transaction execution services to companies in the technology and media industries. Mr. Hopkins has also held roles an institutional investor with Stanford Management Company, where he helped to invest and manage Stanford University’s $20 billion endowment, and as an Investor Relations Officer with Electronic Arts (EA), the world’s largest entertainment software company. Mr. Hopkins began his career with Citigroup Global Markets where he provided advisory and transaction execution services to companies in the technology industry.
Mr. Hopkins holds an M.B.A. from the University of California Los Angeles and a B.S. from the University of Colorado at Boulder.
