Case Study: Working Wardrobes
ORANGE COUNTY, CALIFORNIA
“THEY TOLD US WE COULD SUCCEED AT ANYTHING IF WE PUT OUR MIND TO IT."
With the help of grants from the Opus Community Foundation and other donors, Working Wardrobes helps 5,000 people a year confidently enter the workforce and achieve self-sufficiency.
With a new shirt, suit, and shoes, they went from “down on their luck” to “top of the world.” They employed their gifts of clothing to re-enter the working world. Working Wardrobes worked wonders.
Their work doesn’t end there. The 22-year-old organization also provides career training and job-placement assistance in an environment of dignity and respect. Others go from Skid Row to suit and tie; from welfare to work; and from homeless to hopeful.
